Dr. Matthew Rutman hails from Brooklyn, New York and graduated with honors in biology from Binghamton University. He then pursued his medical education at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where he excelled as chief resident and received recognition for his teaching abilities and patient care skills.
As a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine, Dr. Rutman brings a wealth of knowledge to his work at Rutman Medical, PLLC where he specializes in trigger point injections. In addition to this role, he has been serving as an attending physician in emergency medicine for 15 years at St Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York and other institutions.
Outside of work, Dr. Rutman is a devoted father to six children and an active community member residing in Miller Place, New York. He coaches the St. Anthony’s travel basketball team and enjoys traveling with his family as well as playing golf and fishing.
Despite practicing emergency medicine for over two decades, Dr. Rutman has recognized the importance of weight management and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in promoting overall health and wellness for individuals. As such, he has undergone specialized training to become an expert in both fields with the goal of helping each patient achieve their best possible health through maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
